Description:
Ace's ongoing reissue program of selected titles from the Modern label's Crown subsidiary continues with an expanded version of the label's first ever 12" release. This contains just about all of the mainstays of the Modern R&B roster, and many of the label's most enduring classics as well as some rockin' goodies that were originally exclusive to the first vinyl release. The original LP was issued twice, with the 2nd issue with 6 track changes. This package collects up all 18 of the tracks that were featured across both issues, and augments them with 7 more goodies that are mostly new to Ace CD. Features Etta James, The Cadets, Jesse Belvin, Marvin & Johnny, Teen Queens, Jimmy Beasley and others. |
