HANK BALLARD

AND THE MIDNIGHTERS

SEXY WAYS

Description:
Hank Ballard's place in Rock 'n' Roll history was cemented with the sexually explicit lyrics and gospel rhythms of his songs. Ballard and his group the Midnighters recorded several hits in the early fifties. "Work With Me Annie" and "Annie Had A Baby" both sold over a million copies even though they were banned. These amongst other jumping R&B and sweet ballads are included on this Intro. Hank Ballard was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, a well deserved honor for this immediately recognizable and idiosyncratic front man who died of throat cancer on March 2, 2003.
