TEX BENEKEAND THE GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA
GARRY STEVENS SINGS | |
Description:
For eighteen short months, the post war Miller band led by his tenor sax man, Tex Beneke had the vocal touch of Garry Stevens. Garry joined the band in Hollywood in October 1946. Garry's warm baritone with its individual timbre, which was ideally suited to the Miller style, especially the AAF band that Beneke was perpetuating. Altogether, Garry recorded twenty nine songs with the Beneke Miller Band, most of which are here. This is another rare gem for lovers of vintage Big Band Swing. |
