PAT BOWIE

OUT OF SIGHT! / FEELIN' GOOD!

Description:
This release presents the only two albums in singer Pat Bowie's discography, included here in their entirety and for the first time ever on CD. In addition to Bowie's fine vocals, both LPs feature brilliant instrumental backing by well known jazz stars like alto saxophonist Charles McPherson, tenor saxophonist and flutist Seldon Powell, pianists Tommy Flanagan and Ray Bryant, guitarist Kenny Burrell, bassists Milt Hinton and Al Hall and drummer Osie Johnson. After such a promising start, however, Bowie would never make another record, at least according to discographies. These two albums didn't really become classics as mentioned in the original liner notes. Despite this fact, they make for a very pleasurable listening experience.
