One of the busiest percussionists in jazz through the Fifties and Sixties, Candido Camero could be counted on to provide an invigorating dash of Latin spice to anybody's group, but he rarely recorded as a leader. This 1956 album, featuring Al Cohn on tenor saxophone, is a memorable exception.
