Pianist Frankie Carle became renowned for his cheerful and rhythmic approach to playing. The most senior of Big Band leaders, Frankie Carle continued performing for more than half a century until his death in 2001 at age 98. Carle was also a composer of note having his works covered by Glenn Miller, Chet Atkins, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey and Floyd Cramer. Both of these two album collections feature Frankie's best work from his days at RCA Records including "Side By Side," "Two Sleepy People" and "In The Cool, Cool, Cool Of The Evening".
