The splendid 1969 concert included on this CD presents Ornette with his celebrated quartet featuring Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden and Ed Blackwell. The Bilzen concert is interesting because three of the five tunes below to the Crisis album, recorded by Ornette live at the Loeb Studen Center, New York University on March 22, 1969 which was five months before the Belgium performance. |
