This release features John Coltrane's complete recordings under the leadership of Paul Chambers. Coltrane's prominence throughout these tracks, as the principal or sole horn player and only tenor saxophonist led us to release this edition under Trane's name. Although other discographies may claim that Trane performed on other tracks from Chambers three 1956 sessions, careful investigation has uncovered that the 11 tracks on this release are the saxophonist's ONLY recordings fromt these sessions. It is for this reason that we label this the complete session. |
