EDDIE CONDON / WILD BILL DAVISON
JAM SESSION / EDDIE'S BLUES | |
Description:
For one of Eddie Condon's final recordings, released in 1970 and what was possibly his last studio session, he largely let cornetist Wild Bill Davison run the show. Two of the five songs "Time After Time" and "Crazy Rhythm" have arrangements for the septet, which includes Davison, trombonist Ed Hubble, clarinetist Johnny Mince and pianist Dill Jones, while the other three pieces "How Come You Do Me like You Do," "Them There Eyes" and "Eddie's Blues" are looser and more freewheeling. |
