Description:
This is the studio follow up to Dick Conte's previous album "Live @ San Jose Jazz Festival" DCJ 21." The pianist and his quartet present fresh takes on standards and a couple of originals. When in the studio to record Slow Hot Wind, it was like another gig, slightly more controlled but as free and easy as a night at a jazz club. The communiction among the four is such now, that a mere nod or glance is sufficient to shift gears as smoothly as an expensive sports car. |
