Description:
This edition includes the complete April 8, 1960 performance at Kongresshaus, in Zurich, Switerland. The quintet performed the tracks If I Were A Bell, Fran Dance, So What, All Blues and The Theme during this historic concert. Miles and Trane really streched out on the fist four tunes the minute long track The Theme was used as a coda on So What to close out the set. This release also contains four bonus tracks of Davis and Coltrane accompanied by Bill Evans, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones at New York's Cafe Bohemia on May 17, 1958. The band recorded four tracks on this date, Davis' composions Four, as well as the standards Bye Bye Blackbird, Walkin' and Two Bass Hit. Unfortunately, the final track Two Bass Hit was cut off after only 50 seconds of recording. And while the rest of this track is lost to us, we remain extremely lucky to include this phenomenal rare session to Trane and Miles' outstanding recorded legacy.
