From his heyday in the nineteen thirties with Bob Wills, the King Of Western Swing, through to his solo recordings of the late forties and fifties, Tommy Duncan was often imitated but never surpassed. Featuring the western swing classics "San Antonio Rose" and Tommy Duncan’s own composition of "Time Changes Everything." In addition to Tommy Duncan this CD includes material by Billy Jack Wills, Bob’s younger brother, composer of "Lilly Dale" and "Down In Old Mexico" two songs that have become Western Swing standards. Hear Billy Jack with his own Western Swing Band, and with Brother Bob too. |
