ELEMENTAL INSTRUMENTALS!! | |
Description:
Here are 28 raw primitive rock instrumentals from the legendary Cuca label of Wisconsin the farming State caught in a rockin' timewarp while the rest of America wimped out. Best known for the 1960 mega hit 'Muleskinner Blues' by the Fendermen, as well as the R&B hit 'Spring' by Birdlegs & Pauline, Cuca was a very big deal locally. Owner Jim Kirchstein ran his own studio and even pressed his own records. From 1959 69, he put out hundreds of records on Cuca, Sara and various subsidiaries mostly rock with a bunch of polka discs thrown for local old timey folk! 90% of the material is new to CD. Even the original 45s rarely turn up. |
