Anita Ellis's beautiful voice was heard in many movies during the 40s and 50s when she supplied the singing voice for several top Hollywood stars. In spite of her great talent she remained much neglected by the recording studios. Of the commercial recordings she made at the time, very few have been released on CD. This collection offers a number of recordings never released on CD before, some of them now extremely rare. Also offered are fine tracks she made for the American fighting forces during World War II, plus soundtrack recordings with which she supplied the voices for Vera Ellen and Jeanne Crain. |
