Ellis is here as the only horn, backed by Al Francis on vibes, Jaki Byard on piano, Ron Carter on bass, and Charlie Persip on drums. An extremly rare 1958 version of 'It Don't Mean A Thing' pairing Ellis with Zoot sims in a quintet format, has been added as a bonus.
