People who dig the authentic in art take heart from the music drummer/percussionist Kahil El'Zabar has made for more than 25 years, since he established the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble. Joining El'Zabar is David Murray, one of the most voracious and prolific of modern saxophone players, a soulful soloist and dynamic bandleader whose creative collaborations span all the living generations of jazz players. El'Zabar and Murray recorded two duet albums, "Golden Sea" 1989, and "One World Family" 1999. They also recorded "Love Outside Of Dreams" 2002, DMK 541 with Fred Hopkins. In 2000, while on tour in support of One World Family, El'Zabar and Murray performed at The Bop Shop record store in Buffalo. |
