SHEP FIELDS
YOU AND I | |
Description:
2 CD set. In the early 1950's, Shep Fields moved to Houston, Texas where he remained in the music business for the next years. While in Houston he had frequent engagements at the famed Shamrock Hotel. In 1963, he bought his career as a band leader to a close. He and brother Freddie opened a Hollywood talent agency. Fields died on February 23, 1981 in Hollywood at the age of 70. This two CD set is sure to revive pleasant memories of the big band era the remote broadcasts, the nights at ballrooms across the country with a band that played for the dancers and people who were not concerned with labels like "Mickey Mouse" or "Sweet". |
