It is reported that he wanted to retire ten years earlier, but was still too much in demand. This collection of "Music in the Foster fashion" was taken from radio transcriptions. Since the performances were not produced by record companies, they were not offered for sale in record stores. The sweetest of the swing bands! This two CD collection captures the essence of Foster's smooth presentation. Originally recorded in 1939, these 32 songs have been painstakingly restored and enhanced. |
