Capitol has now restored the full 2 LP set on 2 CDs with some on stage dialogue that was not included on the original album. Recorded live at Carnegie Hall, New York, New York on April 23, 1961. This souvenir of that remarkable occasion includes the complete concert, during which Judy Garland sang 26 songs and mesmerized the audience with her sensational all round performance. The album won Grammys for album of the year, best female vocal performance, best engineering and best cover. It was in the US chart for 73 weeks, 13 of them at number 1. |
