Geraldo or Gerald Bright which was his real name led one of the most popular British pre and post W.W.II Dance Bands of the day. Ranking alongside Jack Hylton and Ambrose. The band attracted the best singers Such as Dorothy Carless and Eve Boswell among others featured on this CD. The band also featured the best musicians of the day with Leslie Hutchinson, Alfie Noakes and Eddy Calvert On trumpets. Nat Temple featured on clarinet, Ted Heath on trombone and Maurice Burman and Eric Delaney occupied the the drummers stool. Gerry's equally talented brother Sid also featured on piano and with arrangements by George Evans and Wally Stott the band could not fail to be a success. The numbers featured on this CD are from the great years 1944 1948.
