2 CD set. Second volume of Benny Goodman's Yale Archive releases. In this collection, there is a smattering of the 1940s Goodman book, but most of the music heard here was new when recorded, and not played much afterwards. The reasons for this are twofold. Firstly, Benny always had to face audiences that wanted to hear music exclusively from his heyday. And secondly, there were many years between the times when Benny felt the urge to form, rehearse and tour with a big band. So it's only natural that some of the music would get lost in the ensuing shuffle.
