DAVE HAMILTON
DETROIT CITY GROOVES | |
Description:
Detroit funk and soul producer Dave Hamilton has become recognized in recent years for his productions for artists such as Little Anne and OC Tolbert in the Northern Soul world and Billy Garner in the funk one. In the late '60s, Hamilton released a rare single on his own TCB label "Pisces Place" / "Cracklin' Bread." It was lifted from a proposed album called "Soul Suite" that Hamilton recorded but didn't release. Here for the first time are tracks that were supposed to make up that album. This also has funky Hamilton tracks that are dancefloor winners, as well as instrumental versions of several released funk and soul classics such as Chico and Buddy's "Can You Dig It?" and Little Anne's "Who You Trying To Fool." |
