Music of Thad Jones was a highlight of 2005, garnering rave reviews and a special write up in Nat hentoff's column in JazzTimes. This IPO release includes more of Thad Jones's unique compositions performed by musicians who knew and worked with him throughout his career. Highlights include a rollicking performance of 'Groove Merchant' and a performance of the title tune by two of jazz's grand masters, hank Jones and James Moody.
