DICK JURGENS

THE EARLY YEARS, VOLUME 2

Description:
2 CD set. Bandleader/ composer Dick Jurgens organized his first orchestra while still in high school in 1928. By the late 30's and early 40's he was widely recognized as one of the prominent figures in swing music. He did his first recording work in 1934 for the Decca label. The 32 selections in this collection, however, were not made for a commercial label company and were not sold to the public. So, these performances are unique.
