A key figure in Boston's under 40 generation of adventurous improvisors, pianist Pandelis Karayorgis displays a novel renovation of concepts developed by Lennie Tristano & Thelonious Monk. Some music on this CD was written with Billy Strayhorn, including one piece which is a tribute to Duke Ellington for his 100th birthday anniversary.
