The material is previously unreleased with three rare scores by Stan's band never issued anywhere. After a interview of Stan discussing jazz education with bandleader Gerald Wilson, the full 79 minute CD opens with the band's first clinic at Redlands U. The unique closing theme is a highlight as Stan attempts to play part of his theme "Artistry in Rhythm" backwards!
