Here are 24 tracks of 1950s jivers, strollers and good rockin' groovers from the vaults of King Records. Compiled with the dancefloor in mind and focusing exclusively on King's black rock 'n roll recordings, this package features some of the biggest names in R&B and some of their rarest recordings. In demand songs like Donnie Elbert's 'Leona' and 'Believe It Or Not' are complemented by long time rock 'n roll favorites such as Hank Ballard's version of 'Sugaree'. Although the emphasis is on the upbeat, there are also a couple of strollers on board to help dancers get their breath back. Most of the tracks here have never been reissued in any format.
