Description:
Broadcast of February 19 plus "P" Popular Transcriptions. The rest of the music on this CD is taken from "P" Transcriptions. After the opening theme, we hear arranger Jerry Gray's original composition Sun Valley Jump. Johnny Desmond then sings the heartful Suddenly It's Spring, and the orchestra follows with All Through The Night. Desmond returns again to the microphone to add the vocal to another lovely tune, I Love You. The Crew Chiefs give out with Take It Easy, one of the lesser heard titles played by the orchestra, as is the next tune, Blue Hawaii, with its lovely shimmering strings. Everyone joins in for a tune that was a great favourite when played by Glenn' civilian orchesstra, Juke Box Saturday Night. Pianit mel Powell is then featured with his own composition Pearls On Velvet, and the final tune of the Show is There Are Yanks, followed by the 'I Sustain The Wings' show theme.
