THE MILLS BROTHERS

CHRONOLOGICAL, VOLUME 2

Description:
This volume takes in the period from May 1932 through to February 1934, and it was during this time that Kapp brought the four boys into the studios to participate in a set of re recordings of songs from the Broadway musical "Blackbirds of 1928". In this second volume of the chronological recordings of the Mills Brothers we have, in addition to the four voices, such luminaries as Duke Ellington, Don Redman and Cab Calloway providing more ambitious accompaniments than that afforded by the customary one guitar, and Bing Crosby.
