Description:
A 22 track compilation containing all the tracks Fats recorded with Savoy over a period of about fifteen months — with the exception of his Dexter Gordon sides included on the Savoy Jazz Originals series’ Dexter Gordon: Settin’ The Pace, and two sides with vocalist Kay Penton. All the tracks have been digitally remastered using Denon’s 20 Bit Mastersonic process. This package includes a 20 page booklet, with rare photos, and two essays: one by noted Jazz scribe Joe Goldberg, the other by producer Orrin Keepnews.
