England's Ray Noble was most notable as the composer of "The Very Thought of You," "The Touch of Your Lips," "Goodnight Sweetheart," "I Hadn't Anyone Till You" song included on this CD and "Cherokee" also included, and he was an important bandleader in the 1930s. Classically trained as a pianist, Noble was more interested in dance music, and building on his popular success, he came to the United States where he led his finest orchestra. This 24 track compilation playing at over 71 minutes also features the songs "Harlem Nocturne," "Along The Santa Fe Trail," "Sleepy Time Gal" and others.
