Originally planning to record only one CD, pianist Hod O'Brien ended up recording enough material to fill two CDs during two exhilarating performances at Blues Alley in Washington, D.C. on July 6th and 7th, 2004. This 61 minute CD contains the "first set" on July 6th it features O'Brien's reunion with bassist Ray Drummond and drummer Kenny Washington.
