Description:
The all star sextet One For All returns for their fourth Criss Cross release. With a frontline consisting of tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander, fluegelhorn/trumpeter Jim Rotondi and trombonist Steve Davis, the group executes arrangements of original compositions plus two jazz standards with Ēlan, and they also blow some spirited solos. Stimulating the horns, pianist David Hazeltine, bassist Peter Washington and drummer Joe Farnsworth comprise a first class rhythm section that completes the ensemble's unique sound. |
