PARAMOUNT JAZZ BAND OF BOSTON

AIN'T CHA GLAD?

Description:
The first time Stomp Off's producer heard the Paramount Jazz Band, it was in a tent probably raining at the Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival in Essex in 1987. Folks were so excited by what they were hearing that several approached me and were incredulous that we had not been running a tape for a record. Now we have righted that "wrong" we present the Paramount on a well recorded release that displays the many talents of their outstanding musicians, with half a dozen vocals by that popular New England minstrel Jimmy Mazzy and some very compelling tunes from the hot dance and hot jazz repertoire of the 1920s.
