This previously unissued Hannover concert was taped for a German radio broadcast. It is, in fact, an important addition to their not so prolific discography, as it constitutes the last known evidence of Hawkins and Peterson playing together. Most of the concert is played by the Oscar Peterson Trio, with Hawkins added as a guest star on four tracks, as they used to do during their brief European tour. |
