Description:
The piano rags in the style of Scott Joplin are a treasure of American Music. SaxeTexaS Saxophone Quartet has created and recorded new arrangements of 12 of these classic works. While the tunes are familiar, they all have an energetic, jazzy feel, brought about by the combined talents of the quartet. The musicians of the SaxeTexaS Saxophone Quartet are all respected performers and educators. James Riggs, Lee Pulliam, James Ogilvy and Terry Steele met at the University of North Texas, and were part of the highly regarded jazz program there. |
