From the 30s through to the 50s Primo Scala's unique sound of massed accordions, or accordions and banjos, was highly popular on record. One Night In Napoli presents a generous and typical sequence of Primo Scala’s best recordings. Included are nine of the medleys of contemporary hits tunes for which he was noted. Many of Britain’s top vocalists sang with the band and the programme here features, among others, Vera Lynn Alone . . ., Sam Browne, Jack Cooper, Sam Costa, Cavan O’Connor and, latterly, The Keynotes and Alan Kane.
