Heinz Schonberger presents his second Main Stream Power Band album for your pleasure and entertainment. The material is a refreshing mixture of not over performed but never the less very worthwhile items from the big band books of Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, Jerry Gray and Larry Clinton as well as some original compositions written especially for the band. Thank goodness for an album that doesn't give yet more note for note recreations of Begin The Bequine, In The Mood etc. On this album The Main Stream Power Band is roaring in great form with many power solos and has filled a special and welcome place in todays musical scene and they have been eagerly acquired by all who have an appreciation of the good sounds of the Swing Era. |
