1987 | |
Description:
This is the story of the hectic 1st year of the JTQ. It contains both sides of their 1 indie record, & for the 1st time in 20 years, gathers together all of the band's 1987 Re Elect The President sessions that were to be the birth of the acid jazz movement. The band consists of one half of the Prisoners Taylor and Allan Crockford, & half of the Daggermen James' brother David & drummer future Stuckist Simon Howard. The music is a new breed jazz sound that mixes 60s mod and garage influences with a love of jazz. The booklet contains in depth notes based upon interviews with Taylor, Crockford & Taylor's manager Eddie Piller. It includes all of the original artwork & photos of the 1st incarnation of one of the UK's most consistently popular live bands of the past 2 decades. |
