JACK TEAGARDEN

1930 STUDIO SESSIONS

Description:
During the period these recordings were made, Jack Teagarden was a member of Ben Pollack's orchestra, which was one of the top New York bands of the day. It is from this period that Jazz Oracle presents some of Jack's most obscure recordings, from sessions which resulted in records issued under the names of Ben Selvin, Sam Lanin and Cornell And His Orchestra. Some are newly discovered alternate takes, others are reissued here for the first time, while others are simply very rare records that have never been available for reissue in the past.
