Description:
Saxophonist and vocalist Max Wagner debuts his first recording for Capri with an array of music that will be familiar to most in the jazz world. His saxophone playing comes out of the Lester Young school and he has been called "a powerful and innovative soloist by the Denver Post. His vocal style is reminiscent of early Chet Baker recordings. There is a pleasant mix of both vocal and instrumental tracks. Max has appeared on over 50 recordings as a sideman. It's now time for him to step forward and take the lead. |
