PAULA WATSON

Description:
Hollywood – Decca Records successfully defended itself against a $400,000 damage suit filed by Supreme Records. Supreme charged that Decca had stolen its arrangement of the Paula Watson "A Little Bird Told Me" record for Decca's "Bird" etching with Evelyn Knight. Ruling was handed down late Friday 5th May 1950 by Federal Judge Leon Yankowich in Los Angeles, ending a three day trial. Billboard, May 1950. This CD offers the complete 40's and 50's recordings of Paula Watson, from the charming, laid back Supreme recordings with accompaniment led by guitarist Tiny Webb, to the solid Big Apple R&B backing of the Joe Davis session, arranged by Fred Norman and boasting the cool saxophone solos of Sam "The Man" Taylor, Dave McRae and Ted "Snooky" Hulbert.
