CINEMA RHAPSODIES: THE MUSICAL GENIUS OF VICTOR YOUNG | |
Description:
Victor Young is one of American's preeminent film composers, having scored an unbelievable 300 movies in just over 20 years ending with his greatest achievement, the Oscar winning "Around The World In 80 Days." Sadly, there has never been a CD collection of his work, but this first release from the new imported audiophile quality Hit Parade label remedies that. Here are 22 tracks, superbly mastered including some in stereo, that include some truly great American song classics, performed by Mr. Young himself with the exception of three where the masters have unfortunately been lost. This CD will appeal to all film enthusiasts as well as those who appreciate great orchestral music, beautifully arranged and performed. |
